This highly tailored half-day course will provide you with tips and techniques for presenting with confidence and give you the experience of presenting your own presentation or speech in a safe, virtual space. We limit places to 6 and provide two trainers to ensure that the focus is on you and your development.

Whether you are an inexperienced speaker, feel unsettled about presenting or want to advance your communication skills further, this three hour workshop is a personalised experience using virtual reality tools for immediate impact.

This workshop uniquely combines real time feedback on pace, volume, filler words and eye contact in virtual reality scenarios, with expert tips and face to face presenatation techniques to create confidence and focus for your presenting skills. Much of the practice take place in a realistic but virtual environment. It is a fun and non-judgmental way of building skills.



Anyone looking to improve their presenting and public speaking skills, be it for work or special occasions like best man duties.

New and experienced presenters will leave with confidence in their ability to communicate, specifically focused in the following areas:

  • Tips on how to manage the nerves and stress of speaking in front of people with an understanding of the psychology behind this
  • Simple but memorable techniques to use body language to create impact.
  • Specific insight about your own pace, volume, filler words and eye contact, with tools to improve these areas further

Prof Elizabeth Chell: Professor of Entrepreneurial Behaviour at Kingston University, London with over 35 years' experience. Elizabeth is internationally renowned and has been extensively published on topics including entrepreneurship, innovation and entrepreneurial personality. Her research was instrumental in creating our Entrepreneurial Mindset and Behaviours diagnostic.

Prof Richard Crisp PhD, FBPsS:

Head of Psychology at Durham University, Behavioural Scientist and author of The Social Brain. Richard translates his behavioural insights into tips and techniques that we use to help people develop themselves as leaders.
Agenda:

Section 1: Presentation techniques - Intro to psychology of presenting and tips for communicating with impact

Section 2; Practice with VR scenario most appropriate to you - boardroom, social occasion or conference setting. Your own slides and speeches can be uploaded so you are practising with your own content for a truly personalised experience

Section 3: Re-visit presentation- lessons learned from VR and reflect on content. Include further tips on hand gestures, filler words and how to control them

Section 4: Final practice - to room rather than in VR

1I have a promotion code, how do I use it?
If you have a promotion code, please follow the details here which show you how to use your code on our eventbrite listings.

2What’s the cancellation policy?
Cancellation is possible up to 30 days before the start of a course without cost. After that point the full course fee is due independent of whether the registered person takes part in the course or not. Participants can be substituted without charge.
3Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Yes, if you wish to transfer your place to someone else please just email info@enploy.co.uk with the names to be transferred from and to.
4What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is secured, paid parking onsite and paid parking across the street from iCentrum.
5Are there any prerequisites before attending the course?
We provide everything needed on the day so you do not need to pre-read or bring anything with you on the day.
